How would your life look, If you didn’t have to worry about limitations? (Blogmas #3)

If you lived in a world of financial freedom with no other life stressors (like physical/mental health issues or having to do daily tasks that you hate), How would you spend your day? What would you do and where would you go? Whose face do you want to see? What would you be doing? What does your perfect world look like? What would you eat? Because in this dream world there’s no such thing as calories. We’re all at the size we want to be and there’s no gaining or losing. There’s nothing but love and happiness in the air. It’s positive vibes only. So, what would your day to day look like?

I was thinking about this earlier today as I was pondering about all the things that I have to do (or should be doing). If I didn’t have to worry about anything how would my life be. In a dream world I would be living in a high-rise condo overlooking the ocean half of the year and spending the other half in a luxurious loft on a huge ship. The high-rise condo and loft would both have panoramic windows with a balcony. I would start off every morning with a sweet vanilla or mocha latte with an extra shot of espresso. I would sit out on the balcony and take in the beautiful view of the sun rising over the ocean. The weather isn’t hot or cold, it’s just to my liking. I’m not sweating or shivering because it’s mid fall weather all year round. There might be some soothing music like Susie Suh, Jhene Aiko or Alana Baraz playing softly in the background while I enjoy this cup of joe. Or maybe I will just enjoy the sound of the ocean waves as I appreciate the natural beauty of this world. After I finish my latte, I head inside and begin to do something creative like drawing, painting, or writing while I sit at the table and enjoy my morning alone time. An hour or two later My husband wakes up from a well-rested sleep and we get ready to take on a day of fun and adventure. Whether we’re getting off the ship to tour and explore a new country or at home enjoying a local attraction for the 50th time, we’re still having the time of our lives. We’re completely immersed into each other like two teenagers in love, and just like teenagers we don’t care what anyone has to say about it. We’re in our own love bubble, enjoying each other. Once we return home, we meet up with family who lives in the same building or staying on the same floor of the ship. A world class chef comes over to cater a private dinner for all of us. The food is substantially amazing, and the conversation is equally remarkable. Laughter fills the room and I take in the smiling faces of my family. I am filled with gratitude. The sun sets and we all dance in the arms of the people we love. Life is just Amazing. We part ways and everyone heads off to their condos (or ship loft). I curl up on the sofa with a good book until my husband picks me up and whisks me to the bedroom ending the day with romance and intimacy.

In my dream life I included all the elements that brings me happiness. Love, Family, Quality Time, Intimacy, Art, the Ocean, Reading, Food and Travel. Family means so much to me, and of course I wanted to keep them close. I never been the type to want to move away from family. I want them close by and knowing that they’re just down the hall or another floor in the same building. In my perfect world my dad never got sick and he’s still with us. The faces I see at the table are my parents, my husband, my siblings, and their spouses. Everyone is so happy. I’m not weighed down by the usual things because I’m free to do what I truly enjoy without limits. Could you just imagine a life filled with love, positivity, and freedom? Making memories with loves ones, indulging in artistic expression, getting lost in a book and then going out and making your own story in a new country, feeling connected, trying new foods, and enjoying the quiet moments with natural beauty surrounding you … that’s the happy place in my head. Thinking about this fictitious alternate life made me realize that even though some things are impossible (like loved ones who are no longer here returning), we can still make time for the things we love. It might not be perfect, and some things have to be done in moderation, but you can still make time every week to do something that brings you joy. Yes, life can’t be perfect, but you can make it worth it. 😊
