Yesterday I came across a photo on Instagram mentioning 5 hobbies that we need. I found this to be interesting because I currently partake in all 5 hobbies. In the photo they suggest that you have a hobby that makes you money, keep you in shape, keep you creative, build knowledge and evolve your mindset. I currently workout. I design and write. I read and learn new skills. My money-making hobbies currently doesn’t make me a lot of money, but they are money making hobbies, nonetheless. Posts like these just reassure me of my growth and where I am headed. I follow a lot of success pages and it’s nice to see that I am already doing most of what is mentioned. I will admit that for the last few years I slacked off a lot because doubt crept in and got the best of me. I also dealt with depression. If you have read my previous posts over the last couple years, then you know about all the unexpected things that kept popping up. Life has been such a whirlwind (especially in the past 1.5 years) that I threw myself into my projects and hobbies.
I really started to turnover a new leaf last June. Once I started to let go of all the expectations I really started to improve. I make sure that I work out a few times a week. I write and read a lot. I’ve tapped into my creative side a little more by dabbling in artistic expression, design and even baking my own creations. I took a free Harvard class and I am still in the process of learning languages (I hope to become a polyglot one day). I put a lot of time in efforts in my projects in hopes to gain a few streams of income. I’m trying my best to evolve and grow, in order to be the best version of myself. I still have a long way to go when it comes to time management. I would love to be as discipline as most successful people (like The Rock), but it’s a whole process. I will get there, until then I will continue to explore and expand my horizons.
What are your hobbies? Are you immersing in all 5 hobbies? Let me know in the comment section below! 😊
